Local.com and Matchpoint.com are the Largest Local Search Advertisers on Google
Local.com advertised on almost a third of the geo-targeted keywords that AdQuants covers on its local crawl with over 21,000 keyword advetisements. Matchpoint followed with coverage on almost a fifth of the keywords that Adquants covers on its local crawls with over 13,000 keywords.
In general the Local Online Advertising Market on Google is dominated by directory services who resell traffic and/or leads to small businesses..
AdQuants Measurement Methodology
At the end of Q1, AdQuants introduced its Local Keyword Crawl in 250 US metros with approximately 300 local keywords spanning the spectrum of local service providers and retailers. Adquants Local Keyword crawl indentifes over a million keyword ads combined on local keywords on the major search engines. Unique domains are assumed to be unique online advertisers.
